Vodafone has partnered with the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) to conduct trials on a fiber-based alternative to Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) for network timekeeping. This initiative aims to diversify timing signal sources as Vodafone transitions to 5G and prepares for future 6G networks.
