South Korea and India Enhance Cooperation in AI Industries

During a significant business forum in New Delhi, South Korean President Lee Jae Myung emphasized the need for collaboration between South Korea and India in advanced industries, particularly focusing on artificial intelligence and manufacturing sectors. This meeting, attended by around 600 government officials and business leaders, marks the first state visit by a South Korean president to India in eight years. Lee highlighted the intertwined cultural and economic relationship, citing the presence of major South Korean companies like Hyundai and Samsung in India and their deepening engagement with Indian conglomerates.

In his remarks, Lee pointed out that the combination of India's strengths in artificial intelligence and software with South Korea's manufacturing prowess in semiconductors and vehicles could yield significant synergies. He urged the swift advancement of discussions on the Korea-India Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, indicating shared goals in boosting trade and investment. This close collaboration not only signals a pivotal enhancement in bilateral relations but also aims to address global challenges through innovation and economic partnership.
