ESA Maps Early Universe Unveiling Cosmic Light Sea

The European Space Agency (ESA) has successfully created one of the most detailed 3D maps of the early universe using advanced laser technology. This significant achievement allows astronomers to observe a "sea of light" formed by young galaxies and vast gas reserves illuminated by newly born stars. The mapping project was part of the Hobby-Eberly Telescope Dark Energy Experiment (HETDEX), which has analyzed over 600 million spectra from a region of the sky equivalent to more than 2,000 full moons, providing a comprehensive understanding of cosmic phenomena approximately 9 to 11 billion years ago.
