Airbus Acquires Quarkslab to Strengthen Cyber Sovereignty

Airbus Defence and Space has announced the acquisition of Quarkslab, a French company specializing in reverse engineering and application protection. This follows Airbus's earlier acquisition of Ultra Cyber Ltd, emphasizing their strategy to consolidate cyber capabilities in Europe. Quarkslab, founded in 2011, employs around 100 experts in vulnerability analysis and critical component protection, significantly reinforcing Airbus’s position in the cybersecurity domain.

The integration of Quarkslab into Airbus aims to create a robust digital shield essential for national security against intelligence threats. Quarkslab's flagship product, QShield, provides protection against reverse engineering, a pressing concern with the rise of AI-powered attacks. This acquisition not only bolsters France's cyber resilience but also positions Europe competitively against global cybersecurity challenges, fulfilling a growing need for stronger local tech capabilities in defense against vulnerabilities.
