Blaize and NeoTensr Partner on $50M Edge Infrastructure

US-based AI chip startup Blaize has partnered with Chinese hardware developer NeoTensr to develop Edge infrastructure aimed at the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. The contract, valued at up to $50 million, will see NeoTensr integrate Blaize's hardware solutions, including their advanced Graph Streaming Processor, into its Edge data center facilities. The collaboration targets applications in smart cities, logistics, retail, and industrial automation, with the ability to handle over 200 camera streams per server.

Strategically, this collaboration represents a significant step towards enhancing AI capabilities within APAC, promoting local ownership of technology infrastructure. The integration of Blaize’s specialized chips into NeoTensr’s offerings enhances the region's AI processing power and potentially reduces reliance on foreign tech solutions. This partnership could signal a shift in the competitive landscape as local players ramp up their capabilities in advanced AI and Edge computing.
