AI Adoption Surges to 50% Among US Workers

According to a recent Gallup poll, 50% of American workers now utilize artificial intelligence in their daily roles. This marks a significant increase from 21% in Q2 2023. The poll, conducted between February 4 and February 19, 2026, shows daily AI usage has surged to 13%, with a combined total of 28% of employees engaging with AI tools weekly. Despite potential disruptions, 65% of users remain optimistic about AI's potential to enhance workplace productivity.

The Gallup survey indicates a dual impact of AI in workplaces, as employees report its disruptive nature alongside positive feedback on efficiency improvements. While 34% of employees in AI-adopting firms noted increased hiring, 23% also witnessed headcount cuts. Although concerns about the adverse effects of AI on job security persist, the overarching trend demonstrates rapid adoption across industries, highlighting a need for organizations to adapt to this transformation swiftly.
