Mexico Reduces Workweek to 40 Hours by 2030

Mexico has officially enacted a reduction in the standard workweek to 40 hours, marking a significant legislative achievement in the region after its publication in the Diario Oficial de la Federación. The transition will occur progressively, with the target of reaching the 40-hour standard by 2030. This move places Mexico third in Latin America, alongside Ecuador and Chile, which have already adopted similar regulations.
