Meta Increases AI Expenditure to $145B Despite User Drop

Meta has announced an increase in its Artificial Intelligence investments, projecting capital expenditures between $125 billion and $145 billion for the current year, up from a previous estimate of $115 billion to $135 billion. This increase aligns with the company's ongoing strategy to enhance its AI infrastructure, particularly in the development of AI data centers, where approximately $72 billion was expended in 2025. Despite this investment, Meta has reported a slight decline in app user numbers, from 3.58 billion to 3.56 billion, which has raised concerns among investors.
