Abu Dhabi AIQ Expands Energy AI Exports to North America

AIQ, an Abu Dhabi-based AI company specialized in the energy sector, is targeting the export of its autonomous AI technologies to the US and Canada, as articulated by CEO Dennis Jol. This follows a successful $340 million contract with Adnoc to deploy EnergyAI, the first agentic AI solution in the energy space, designed to optimize energy operations autonomously, enhancing operational efficiencies in Adnoc's upstream sectors over a three-year engagement. AIQ also functions as a joint venture between Adnoc and Presight, contributing to regional advancements in AI technologies.
The strategic implications of AIQ's expansion illustrate the UAE’s commitment to becoming a global technology hub, supported by significant investments in AI infrastructure and partnerships. With the recent US authorization of advanced Nvidia chip exports to G42, the UAE is fortifying its national AI ambitions. The establishment of the Stargate UAE data center further positions the nation as a leader in AI, unlocking potential in energy system optimization while reinforcing data sovereignty and capacity.
