NRW Police Modernizes Data Analysis Using AI Tools

The North Rhine-Westphalia's police authority (LZPD) has initiated a new tender for its data analysis and research system, designated as DAR II. This project includes the implementation of production, testing, and development environments, aiming for the creation of a scalable system capable of efficiently processing increasing amounts of data. The recent revision of the police law permits explicit use of AI and data mining, mandating their central role in the planned platform, which will consolidate large, heterogeneous datasets from various sources.
