Digital Services Sector Grows 5.4% in Spain

In Spain, the digital services sector has shown robust growth, achieving a 5.4% increase in revenue in 2025, outpacing the overall services sector's growth of 4.8%. The TIC Monitor by Fundación VASS and CEPREDE highlights that digital services account for nearly half of the total revenue in the TIC ecosystem, contributing significantly to job creation with 522,081 registered employees in the sector—an increase of 24,691 jobs compared to the previous year.

Despite this growth, the pace of employment creation in digital services has slowed, declining from double-digit growth rates in 2022 to a projected 2.1% in 2025. Antonio Rueda, head of the TIC Monitor, notes that while the sector remains solid and adaptable, factors such as geopolitical uncertainty may impact future investments in digital transformation. Nonetheless, he believes the digital services sector will continue to be a critical growth driver for Spain's economy.
