VESSL AI and Rebellions Build Domestic AI Cloud

South Korea is advancing its sovereign artificial intelligence infrastructure with a new collaboration between VESSL AI and Rebellions. Both companies have initiated early operational testing of a cloud infrastructure powered by domestically developed neural processing units (NPUs). Their joint effort aims to strengthen AI capabilities in robotics and industrial computing, with potential applications extending to the public sector and international markets.
The collaboration represents a significant shift in South Korea's approach to AI infrastructure, as it seeks to establish a self-sufficient ecosystem for advanced computing technologies. By utilizing homegrown NPUs, the initiative is expected to enhance national security and technological autonomy, thereby reducing reliance on foreign AI systems. This move not only positions South Korea as a formidable player in the global AI landscape but also aligns with its broader national strategy to foster innovation and independence in critical infrastructures.
