LG Energy Solution Launches $3.7B Battery Factory in Canada

LG Energy Solution has launched a $3.7 billion battery manufacturing facility in Canada, with mass production set to commence in November 2025. The facility is expected to produce over one million energy storage system (ESS) cells, positioning Canada as a key player in battery technology for renewable energy applications.

The establishment of this factory signifies a substantial investment in local manufacturing infrastructure, enhancing the ability to produce ESS cells domestically.
