Irish €1.6B Data Center Secures Final Approval

The proposal for a €1.6 billion ($1.8 billion) data center in Ireland has received final approval after overcoming several legal hurdles that lasted over six years. Developer Art Data Centres received planning permission and resolved appeals regarding environmental concerns, including the presence of protected species in the development area. This facility will feature a 200MW campus with multiple data halls and renewable energy partnerships, slated for initial operation by the end of 2028.
