Germany Invests €11M in Humanoid Robot Training Facility

The Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (MIRMI) at TUM, in collaboration with NEURA Robotics, is establishing the world’s largest research and training center for humanoid robotics. With a funding commitment of €17 million, where NEURA Robotics contributes €11 million, the center aims to advance hundreds of robotic systems for everyday applications, providing a competitive counterpoint to existing efforts from China and the USA. It emphasizes safety in human-robot interaction, critical for the integration of humanoids into daily life.

This initiative not only enhances Germany's technological prowess but also represents a strategic move towards AI autonomy by fostering local research and development.
