CoreWeave Partners with Google Cloud for Cross-Cloud AI

CoreWeave has announced a partnership with Google Cloud to facilitate AI workloads across both cloud infrastructures through the launch of "CoreWeave Interconnect." This new fiber-based network interconnect links CoreWeave’s infrastructure directly with Google Cloud, minimizing latency while enhancing reliability and security using built-in MACsec encryption for data transfer. The offering is set to improve both training and inference workloads by allowing seamless operation across cloud environments, with select regions getting early access to the service.
This collaboration signifies a notable shift in the cloud services landscape, as it simplifies the deployment of multicloud strategies for organizations seeking advanced AI capabilities without the traditional barriers. The integration of CoreWeave’s Local Object Transport Accelerator technology in tandem with cross-cloud capabilities will enable efficient, high-throughput access to data across regions, thereby improving operational efficiencies. This partnership could enhance national AI autonomy by encouraging local infrastructures while offering a competitive pathway against foreign cloud services.
