Ai+ Smartphone Partners with Optiemus for Local Production

Ai+ Smartphone has entered into a manufacturing agreement with Optiemus Electronics Limited (OEL) to produce smartphones, tablets, IoT devices, and advanced wearables in India. The partnership entails an investment of ₹125 crore, aiming to create 1,200 direct and indirect jobs within five years. The manufacturing will take place at OEL’s Noida facility, with production ramp-up scheduled to start in April 2026.

This collaboration represents a strategic shift towards enhancing India's technological sovereignty by focusing on local production capabilities. By leveraging OEL's established manufacturing expertise and Ai+'s proprietary software, the initiative aligns with the Government of India's Make in India vision, emphasizing quality manufacturing over mere assembly. The move is expected to reduce dependency on foreign brands, solidifying an independent local tech industry.
