Yangtze Memory Technologies Corp (YMTC) has announced the launch of its first commercial PCIe 5.0 NVMe SSD, the PC550, which is designed to cater to the growing demand for high-performance storage solutions. The PC550 features a PCIe 5.0 x4 interface and the NVMe 2.0 protocol, with options for 512GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacities. Utilizing YMTC's advanced X4-9070 3D NAND chips and Xtacking 4.0 technology, the SSD boasts sequential read speeds of up to 10,500 MB/s and write speeds of up to 10,000 MB/s, representing a significant improvement over previous generations while remaining competitive in performance with existing PCIe 5.0 offerings.
