Gliwice Initiates Data Center for Enhanced Cybersecurity

The city of Gliwice, located in Poland’s southern Silesian Voivodeship, has announced plans to construct its own data center, adhering to Tier III standards. The development is intended to bolster digital resiliency for public services by ensuring compliance with European Union directives related to cybersecurity. Construction is expected to be completed by the end of 2028, following the approval of planning permission. The new facility will enable centralized monitoring through the city's Security Operations Center, enhancing incident response capabilities in the event of failures or cyberattacks.
