SAP Partners with S3NS for Sovereign Cloud ERP Deployment

SAP has announced a partnership with S3NS to deploy its ERP solutions on a trusted cloud environment tailored for regulated sectors. This initiative follows the company's previous collaboration with Bleu and signifies a strategic shift towards hosting critical data in France. The S3NS cloud, co-owned by Thales and Google, is set to offer the SAP RISE private Cloud Edition, ensuring that data will be hosted, processed, and encrypted under French jurisdiction. Thales will be the first client to leverage this cloud solution, with the full service set to be operational in the latter half of the year.

This collaboration marks a significant technical shift towards enhanced data sovereignty and addresses regulatory compliance in sensitive industries like public administration and defense. By enabling access to up-to-date features, including AI functionalities, SAP aims to bolster its appeal among clients deterred by cloud adoption fears.
