AirTrunk Invests $3B in Data Center Expansion in Malaysia

AirTrunk has committed to a $3 billion investment to develop two new data centers, JHB3 and JHB4, in Johor, Malaysia, providing over 280MW of total IT capacity. This move expands upon AirTrunk's existing operations in the region, which include the already operational JHB1 and JHB2 facilities, ultimately targeting more than 700MW across its Malaysian portfolio. The company aims to leverage local resources, utilizing recycled water for cooling systems as part of its sustainable approach.

Strategically, this investment signals AirTrunk's alignment with Malaysia’s ambitions to lead in AI infrastructure development.
