Rivington Energy Proposes Solar-Powered Data Center Campus

Rivington Energy has initiated a proposal for a solar-powered data center campus in Lincolnshire, UK, specifically located in Scunthorpe. The Conesby Data Centre Campus will occupy 20 acres and will be powered partly by an on-site solar farm. The facility is designed to include a closed-loop cooling system to minimize water consumption. Construction is anticipated to begin next year, aiming for a completion timeline of about 12 months, pending planning approval from the North Lincolnshire Council, with community consultation already underway.

This initiative marks a significant expansion in Lincolnshire's limited data center market, currently home to only one facility. Rivington's data center and solar farm will collaborate to enhance local infrastructure and sustainability.
