Orange Trials 5G Standalone for Emergency Services in Spain

Orange Spain and the Madrid City Council have implemented Spain's inaugural real-world trial of 5G Standalone (SA) network prioritization for emergency services, validating its performance during high-demand public events. This initiative, part of the European Emer5gencias project, ensures that essential services like the Municipal Police and Fire Department receive prioritization, even when commercial traffic is heavy. Utilizing network slicing for low latency, the system showcases significant advancements over previous 4G-dependent networks.
