Tesla Gains License to Supply Electricity in the UK

Tesla Energy Ventures has received official approval from Ofgem, Britain's energy regulator, to supply electricity to households and businesses throughout the UK. This follows the company's application in July to become an electricity supplier outside the United States. Previously, Tesla was licensed to produce electricity in the UK using solar panels but did not sell directly to consumers. Now, it aims to provide power solutions to both domestic and non-domestic markets in Great Britain.

This strategic move indicates Tesla's diversification beyond automotive sales amid declining car sales globally.
