SoftBank Corp recently unveiled a technology that employs AI to analyze network traffic characteristics in real time, enabling it to autonomously determine optimal latency conditions. The company's Autonomous Thinking Distributed Core Routing technology dynamically switches between a conventional centrally managed mobile core and the SRv6 user plane function to achieve better efficiency for applications demanding low latency, such as augmented reality, virtual reality, and autonomous driving. A recent cloud gaming trial indicated that the average latency dropped to 27.4 milliseconds compared to 41.9 milliseconds on a traditional mobile core.
