Editorial Transparency
How We Use AI
Global AI Watch uses artificial intelligence to surface, analyse, and contextualise AI news from around the world. This page explains exactly how that works — what AI does, what humans verify, and what our editorial limits are.
What We Do
AI-Assisted Analysis
We use OpenAI GPT-4o to analyse articles from 40+ RSS feeds across 6 languages. The model extracts facts, identifies market impact, compares events to historical precedents, and generates predictions.
Two-Step Chain of Thought
Every article goes through two AI passes. Step 1 extracts verifiable facts (who, what, scale, dates). Step 2 uses those structured facts to produce deep analysis — context, comparison, and prediction.
Publish Threshold Filter
Not every article makes it through. Our pipeline filters out low-value marketing press releases, minor product updates, and off-topic content. Only substantial AI policy, infrastructure, regulatory, and geopolitical developments are published.
Proprietary Scoring
We compute two exclusive metrics: the Watch Score (1–100, editorial value added beyond the source) and the Disruption Index (1–10, market impact within 12 months). These are analytical estimates — not predictions.
Data Sources
All articles originate from publicly accessible RSS feeds from established news organisations, government press offices, academic institutions, and technology publications. We do not fabricate sources. Every published article includes a link to the original source.
Source classification tiers
What AI Generates vs. What It Does Not
- ·Article headlines (optimised for clarity and SEO)
- ·Analysis bullets (comparison, context, sovereignty signal)
- ·Article body (analysis paragraphs, not source restatement)
- ·Proprietary scores (Watch Score, Disruption Index)
- ·Key Insight signature sentence
- ·Comparison to named historical or competitive reference
- ·Prediction with named timeframe
- ·Winners / Losers analysis
- ·Historical context reference
- ·Category, region, and theme classification
- ·Fabricate facts, quotes, or entities not in the source
- ·Access the internet in real time (analysis is bounded by source content)
- ·Replace source journalism — we link to every original
- ·Provide financial, legal, or investment advice
- ·Guarantee prediction accuracy (all predictions are editorial estimates)
- ·Verify claims marked as 'unverified' or 'claims' in our analysis
Human Oversight
Global AI Watch is operated by a small editorial team. We review AI-generated analysis for accuracy, flag misleading framing, and remove articles that misrepresent their sources.
Our confidence scoring (0–1) is used internally to flag speculative content. Articles with confidence below 0.4 are annotated with a disclaimer in the analysis. Predictions always include an “Editorial analysis — not financial or legal advice” disclaimer.
We do not claim editorial independence from the AI systems we use — GPT-4o reflects OpenAI's training data and may carry biases we have not identified. If you find a factual error, use the contact form below.
Update Frequency & Quality Cap
We publish a maximum of 50 English articles per day, regardless of how many are available in the source feeds. This cap is enforced at the infrastructure level to prioritise quality over volume. Non-English editions (German, French, Spanish) have separate caps. Articles are scraped 6 times per day; each run contributes to the daily total until the cap is reached.
